Ministry Teams Heart

Team Description
Adult Discipleship Responsible for adult classes and small group studies to guide persons to Jesus Christ so that through Him they may come to a true knowledge of God, growing in their knowledge of Holy Scripture as the supreme rule of faith and life, and equipping them to go into the world as ambassadors of Jesus Christ.
Building and Grounds Responsible for the maintenance and repair of the physical facilities and grounds of Covenant Presbyterian Church.
Evangelism and Membership Responsible for ministries that help seekers know they are welcomed and loved at Covenant Presbyterian Church. These include, but are not limited to, welcome booth, advertising, community evangelism projects, and new member/inquirer classes, and the Alpha program.
Fellowship Responsible for church-wide fellowship events and programs that bring people together to build relationships of love, trust and friendship. These include things like summer picnics and golf tournaments, the annual church retreat, providing coffee and snacks for Sunday morning fellowship, and maintenance of kitchen supplies.
Missions Responsible for leading the congregation in a growing awareness of and commitment to the mission of the church throughout the world. This includes the worldwide mission of the Presbyterian Church, USA, as well as specific local and regional mission opportunities that are consistent with the vision, mission and beliefs of CPC.
Nursery Responsible for showing God's love to families by providing safe and loving care for infants and toddlers during all on-site church events that families might attend. This includes maintenance of supplies and toys, and coordinating volunteer help to assist the paid attendant on Sunday mornings.
Stewardship and Budget Responsible for providing programs and materials for teaching and encouraging Christian financial stewardship, and by modeling Christian stewardship in the oversight of the church budget.
Children's Ministry Responsible for oversight and management of the Sunday School program for age 2 through grade 12. Included in these responsibilities are selection of age-appropriate curriculum, teacher recruiting, as well as the Summer Vacation Bible School and the annual Children’s Christmas Program.
Worship and Music Responsible for all music ministries, technical ministries (audio/visual), coordination of lay Scripture readers, sanctuary decorations, hymnals and pew Bibles, and tape ministry to facilitate a commitment to excellence in worship. In addition to traditional and contemporary Sunday worship, special worship services include Christmas Eve, Maundy Thursday and Easter Sunrise.
Youth Ministry Responsible for programs and activities to guide young people to Jesus Christ so that they may live and grow as his disciples through the fellowship of the church. Programs include middle school and high school Bible studies, Senior High youth group, fellowship and recreation events, and an annual mission trip.
