Kathy and her family have been attending Covenant Presbyterian Church ever since they moved from East Texas in 1999. Kathy has taught Sunday School since 2001 and has been the Sunday School Coordinator since then. She has been employed as a Ministry Assistant for the Wesley Foundation for the last 5 years prior to joining the CPC staff in January of 2003. The Wesley Foundation is a college ministry for the United Methodist Church.
Kathy is married to Ernest "ET" Theiss, who is the lead guitarist for the Covenant Prayzers here at CPC. They have two sons, Ernest and Colten. Kathy says, "I am very excited about the Children's Ministry at Covenant. God will lead us into a great year filled with fun and exciting ways to learn about His Word. Please be in prayer for the children of Covenant as we strive together to teach them the love of our Savior."

Dottie Barrons joined the CPC staff in late 2006. After graduating from Kansas State University, Dottie and her husband both taught at a small rural high school in north central Kansas. They moved to Colorado and started a family. They have two grown daughters and four grandchildren. Dottie and Gary were very active in an Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Lakewood, Colorado, for several years. The Lord made it possible for her and Gary, her husband of 43 years, to move from Denver to Boise in February, 2006 to be near their grandchildren. Gary was a teacher and coach before retiring due to spinal cord injury that led to being confined to a wheelchair. Dottie is his primary caregiver.
Dottie was on staff of Promise Keepers in Denver for 11 years, starting as an office volunteer when there was a staff of four. She advanced to Administrative Assistant in Event Services and later specialized in Travel Management. While at PK, she observed over and over again how the Lord provided what was needed to make it possible to impact the lives and families of millions of men who attended PK events throughout the county. She has learned that the Lord is never early in His provision, but He often waits until the last minute to show us once again that He is in control, not us! Dottie’s hobbies are gardening and photography.
