The worship of God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – is at the center of our life together. As faithful disciples of Jesus, we desire to exalt and glorify God together. In worship we cultivate attitudes of awe, humility, joy, and thankfulness before God. Our priorities are redirected to God’s Kingdom, so that what matters to God will matter to us.

The Service of Worship at CPC

10:00 am Each Sunday

We seek to please God and bring him glory by offering him our very best sacrifices of praise. We strive to make our service Christ-centered and liturgically balanced. The worship life at CPC may not be easy to define using the usual labels of “contemporary” and “traditional,” but we desire to be authentic by giving voice to diverse expressions of the people who have made CPC their church home.

The Lord’s Supper is observed on the first Sunday of each month.   All baptized Christians may partake; baptized children at the discretion of their parents.  Not baptized?   We can take care of that! Please speak with one of the pastors.

Discrete hearing assistance devices are available at the A/V booth.  Large print bulletins are available from the ushers.  Sermons are posted on our
Words for all hymns and songs will be projected on the screen.  When applicable, hymn numbers are provided for those who prefer to use a hymnal.

Music Ministry

The Music Ministry of CPC exists to lead the congregation in worship through expression of the varied gifts and talents of the musicians with whom God has blessed us.

Our ministries include:

  • Special Music – consisting of vocal and instrumental musicians
  • Technical Ministries Team – ensuring that the audio and visual aspects of the services run properly and smoothly.  Contact Theresa Doster for more information.
  • Lay Readers – who faithfully lead the congregation in the reading of the Word.

Ushering and Communion
