Adult Ministries at Covenant Presbyterian Church

It is God’s word that sustains us. If you are not part of a small group or study please consider joining one. “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” Romans 10:17- while the application is to salvation, it extends to believers as we are strengthened and encouraged in and through the Word of God. “…but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ”

Please find the 2020-2021 Adult Education Program Calendar here.

1 Corinthians Bible Study

The Covenant Adult Education ministry will be offering an in-depth study of 1 Corinthians.  Matt Brooks will be facilitating a multi-week study of Apostle Paul’s incredible first letter to the church at Corinth.  Participation options will allow for either “in-person” attendance (meet at the church) and/or simultaneous “live” viewing via Zoom cloud for those who want to participate but not in person.  Come join us on Tuesdays at 1 pm for some wonderful fellowship and sharing and learning the Word of God.

Please email Matt Brooks at to receive lesson read-aheads and Zoom login information for each lesson.

Covenant Book Club

Covenant's Book club is a way to explore issues of faith while staying healthy at home, and having the opportunity to engage a group that meets physically-distanced and hybrid once per month. Our next book is "Jesus and the Disinherited" by Howard Thurman.    The Book Club will meet next on Thursday, May 20 at 10:00am, either outside or physically-distanced in our foyer.  Let us know if you'd like a zoom link to join digitally.

Men’s Ministry

The 2020 – 2021 Men’s Bible Study year is in full swing.  The study on Paul's letter to the Romans continues.  Come join us on Tuesday evenings at 6:30pm for some wonderful fellowship and sharing and learning the Word of God.  Please email Matt Brooks at to sign up and to receive lesson read-aheads and Zoom login information for each lesson.

Women's Ministries

Women’s groups give the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. Our women’s groups, located in several locations throughout our community, are times of Bible study, prayer (and, of course, food). These groups provide a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church.

21 Day Racial Justice Challenge

In July, Dr. Michael Ross of St. Paul Baptist Church of Boise asked Covenant to consider undertaking the 21 day racial equity challenge. The challenge invites us to do something every day to raise awareness about the perniciousness of racism and encourage action in response to that awareness. The PC(USA) has joined several nonprofits, organizations and school systems in adapting the challenge for our use. Find the link to the challenge here

Classes are on Tuesdays from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm and on Wednesday from 9:30 am – 11:15 am, September through May. (Childcare is available on Wednesday.)
